ACC NAS schools will trial a Year 7 Touch development competition as part of their 2015 summer season. The program is being conducted in partnership with Touch Football WA who will provide all the referees and development coaches for the weekly competition.

The program aims to:

  • provide a competition program for NAS schools with minimal school staffing resource requirements.
  • provide Touch Football WA will a development opportunity to grow the game in ACC/NAS schools and foster links between the local club/association and ACC/NAS schools.
  • The game philosophy of the program is to be based on fun and participation with results secondary in importance. The coaching approach should be based on a “games sense” model with coaching taking place on the field during games. TFWA coaches and referees will all assist in the “game coaching”.
