ACC held its inaugural Inclusive Sports Day in partnership with Inclusion WA in 2012
The Sports day allows students of all abilities from ACC schools, between the ages of 12 and 18, to try a range of sports conducted by WA State sporting bodies.
This years event will be held at John XXIII College on Friday 30th October, 2020.
The ISP Fun Run and Activity Day is held annually at Jackadder Lake, Woodlands. In 2020 this event is held on Friday 22nd May.
Students participate in a Fun Run that commences at 10am running around the lake. The students will then continue with numerous fun recreational and Sporting Activities.
The ACC Inclusive Sports students have the opportunity to attend two Soccer Carnivals.
These Carnivals will be held at both Lords Sports Centre and Pat Goodridge Reserve (Term 3).
As part of the new NO LIMITS Inclusive Sports Program students will be able to take part in a competitive soccer carnival to be run with Football West in Term 3. This will be a great opportunity for students to continue on a soccer pathway through club, state and national competition for those students wishing to do so.
The ISP Bowling Carnival is designed to create a fun environment whereby the emphasis or goal is to promote networking between schools. Each school nominates a list of students and the ACC Office randomly places students from different schools per lane. The result is always positive, as students are able to interact with students from different schools that they otherwise may not get an opportunity. Furthermore, the staff are able to network themselves and this system increases the relationship links between schools.
The Inclusive Sports Program is open to any student with a disability from a member school, whether that school has a designated education support/special needs unit or not. Traditionally the following schools with support units have been involved in the program and the host school would come from within this group each year.
