88 members consisting of 71 metropolitan and 17 country schools throughout the state of Western Australia with a total school population in excess of 58,000 students.
Criteria
(i) Independent secondary school status;
(ii) a commitment to pursue the aims of the Association.
Application for Membership
To be made in writing to the President of the Association on the ACC Membership Application Form. Membership application information and forms can be obtained from the ACC office.
Co-educational and single gender schools form the membership of the Association.
Non-Member Invitation
Except by special invitation, member schools only may take place in activities organized by the Association.
Representatives
Principals are the representatives and spokes-persons for member schools.
Withdrawal from Membership
Twelve months notice of withdrawal from membership and/or activities of the Association is required.
Single Gender Schools
In activities where venue lanes determine participation or a limit to the levels of participation, co-educational and single gender schools may compete in that activity. A single gender boys’ school may occupy the same lane as a single gender girls’ school. The linking is designed to best utilize lanes. One single gender school only, without lane occupation by the opposite single gender school, is permitted to compete in a discrete division of carnival. The single gender schools compete for the aggregate boys’ or aggregate girls’ trophies. They do not compete for the aggregate trophies.
Sub-Association
To pursue more effectively the aims of the Association, member schools with a regional or other common interest, may form a Sub-Association with the approval of Council.
