2017 ACC Hockey Challenge Girls and Boys South West Results

Congratulations to all of our participating schools and students in the 2017 ACC Hockey Challenge played in the South West at Bunbury & Districts Hockey Stadium on Thursday 22nd June. 

Teams had the opportunity to play round robin pool games on the turf and all players should be proud of the teamwork and determination that they showed during the day. The level of hockey on display was outstanding and a joy to watch for all participants and spectators.  

Congratulations to our teams making the girls and boys finals in Bunbury Catholic College and Bunbury Cathedral Grammar.  

Congratulations to Bunbury Catholic College in taking out the 2017 ACC Hockey Challenge Girls South West Final. The grand final went down to the wire finishing 0-0 after regular time and being decided by penalty strokes. Bunbury Catholic College eventually scoring the clincher 6-5 over a highly determined Bunbury Cathedral Grammar.  

In the boys final another thrilling game took place where the ball was moving around the turf at breakneck speed. The game was tied at 2-2 which also resulted in decisive penalty strokes. This time it was Bunbury Cathedral Grammar with a dramatic 4-3 victory over Bunbury Catholic College.
