The 2023 ACC Boys AFL team played against the SSWA team on Friday 13 October at Fremantle Oval.

The tournament was preceded by a formal jumper presentation at the South Fremantle Football Club.

The event was endorsed by the WAFC who provided the umpires, awards and venue arrangements.  This year, we were fortunate to have Elijah Hewett from the West Coast Eagles attend as the guest presenter of awards.

The game was a very high standard and all ACC players showcased their wonderful talent from the start.  The team had a great start, leading by 6 goals at half time.  The SSWA team worked hard to make a come back, reducing the margin to 19 points in the final term, the ACC winning 81-62.

Final Score

ACC 81 def SSWA 62

MVP:

Zane Triscari (Emmanuel Catholic College)

Coach's Award:

Declan Pauline (All Saints' College)

Special thanks to coach Ryan Henley (Emmanuel Catholic College), assistant coach Ben Sokol (Emmanuel Catholic College) and manager Michael Tassone (Ursula Frayne Catholic College) for volunteering their time to select and manage the team.

The ACC would also like to acknowledge the trainers and helpers who assisted the coaching team. Thanks to Jarrod Parry (CBC Fremantle) and Luca Gangemi (Emmanuel Catholic College) for assisting from trials to the game.  Luca was the captain of last year's ACC team so it was nice to see him back supporting the coaching staff and players.

Congratulations also to Zane Triscari from Emmanuel Catholic College for winning the MVP award, and to Declan Pauline on being selected for the coach's award.

The ACC would like to commend the fantastic sportsmanship, camaderie and conduct of the players on the day.  They were a true team and their schools should be proud.  The ACC would also like to thank the ACC schools for their support in releasing the players and coaches for this great event.

Well done to everyone involved this year.
