No Limits - Classification Events

ACC students with a classifiable disability are able to compete in the ACC Swimming, Cross Country and Athletics Carnivals as a No Limits competitor alongside members of their interschool  team. However, to compete these students must hold a classification with Athletics Australia or Swimming Australia appropriate to their disability.

The differentiation between the No Limits and Inclusive competitors is that to be considered a No Limits competitor, the student must have an official disability classification. Inclusive students that that have a disability but not a classification, are ineligible to compete at the ACC swimming, cross country or athletics carnivals.  Inclusive students are encouraged to participate in the Inclusion Carnivals which are separate events.

Students that are classified, will be considered for selection in the ACC All Stars teams.

No Limits - Integrated Events

Integrated events were conducted in cricket, netball and soccer in 2019. Integrated events involve both students with and without a disability in the same team. Games are modified to suit ability levels. Integrated activities are designed to provide sporting opportunities for students with disabilities at a more challenging level with the aim of preparing students for community based sports participation.
