The All Stars boys’ and girls’ basketball competitions were held on Sunday 24 October at Bendat Stadium.  Both competitions ran concurrently with the girls (ACC/SSWA/IGSSA) playing three rounds on court 1, and the boys (ACC v SSWA) playing one full game on court 2.

The boys’ game was of a very high standard and exciting to watch.  There was only one point in it at three quarter time, but the ACC team managed to pull away in the final term to win 104-82.  The girls won both rounds against the SSWA and IGSSA teams, giving them a comfortable win overall.  Thomas Gerovich (All Saints’ College) and Kyrah Daniels (Kennedy Baptist College) won MVP awards on the day.

BWA provided the referees, score bench officials and new basketballs that were signed by the Perth Lynx and the Perth Wildcats.  The basketballs were presented as coach’s awards to Dean Morse (Newman College) and Javene Fitch (Bunbury Catholic College).
