The inaugural Girls All-Stars AFL tri-series tournament between the ACC, IGSSA and SSWA took place on Friday 6 August at Claremont Oval. The event was organized by the WAFC and supported by the Fremantle Docker’s AFLW club. The Fremantle Docker's AFLW coach Trent Cooper and player Emma O’Driscoll were guest presenters and attended all three games.
A formal jumper and all star pin presentation was held prior to the competition in the Claremont clubrooms. All players, parents and coaches attended, along with guest FD AFLW player Roxanne Roux.
There was also an online article written by the West Australian about the event which was published on 11 August 2021.
The ACC girls won the cup on ladder percentage as all three teams had a win. Overall, the event was very successful and all stakeholders are keen to support it again next year.
Special thanks to coach Oliver Beath (All Saints'), assistant coach Jonathon Grylls (Lake Joondalup Baptist) and manager Monique Saunders (Sacred Heart) for their time and energy in selecting and managing the team.
