Athletics Carnival

An annual highlight of the Inclusive Sports Program, the ACC Inclusive Athletics Carnival took place on Friday 9 September at UWA Sports Park, McGillivray Oval. Over 270 students from 17 schools participated in a range of track and field events including the 70m sprint, long jump, 4x100m relay, shot put and more.

Former ACC Student and 2016 Bronze Medal winning Paralympian Ella Pardy visited during the carnival to cheer on athletes, while the team from Special Olympics facilitated various  novelty events for students to engage in.

Congratulations to John XXIII College for winning the Sue Bigelow Spirit Shield this year.

The event was run in partnership with Notre Dame University, who assisted the students throughout the day. A big thank you to Notre Dame University, host school St Norbert College, Special Olympics and Athletics West.
