Congratulations to all players and coaches that were involved in the 2023 ACC Year 7 West Coast Fever Shield.
The West Coast Fever Shield is proudly partnered by Netball WA and it was a fantastic day of fun filled netball games at the Gold Netball Centre.
20 participating ACC schools were drawn into four pools of competition followed by crossover games to determine the overall winner.
There were some great contests throughout the day especially the clash between St Stephen's and Aranmore. The winner would top Pool A and qualify for the semi finals. The pendulum swung throughout the game with St Stephen's winning narrowly by 2 goals. Emmanuel CC was clinical all day and topped Pool B with a large percentage. Similarly Living Waters in Pool C were consistent with only St John Bosco getting within 5 goals. Mercedes started the competition in Pool D with a close 1 goal victory over Mundaring and then grew in strength throughout the day.
Both Emmanuel CC and Living Waters showed incredible depth in their respective semi finals and came out strong winners with the Grand Final promising to be a tough match up.
The pool winners were:
Pool A – St Stephen’s School, Duncraig
Pool B – Emmanuel Catholic College
Pool C – Living Waters Lutheran College
Pool D – Mercedes College
Living Waters got the jump on Emmanuel CC and went out to a lead and kept on increasing as the match progressed and took out the shining new West Coast Fever Shield winning
18 – 9.
