Fun Run & Activity Day

The Fun Run and Activity Day is a very popular event on the ACC calendar, held this year on the 19th May at Jackadder Lake, Woodlands. 

Members of the local community were in awe as 247 students from 13 schools, along with their support teachers, took to completing 2 laps of the 2 km lake.  Although, some students (and their teachers) found a shorter and therefore quicker route.

The first three male and female athletes were awarded medals for their efforts, with all other participants welcomed by a guard of honour and continuous applause as they crossed the finish line.  Schools then facilitated various acivities for the remainder of the day before a BBQ lunch cooked by the Sacred Heart College volunteers.

Congratulations to Sacred Heart College for being awarded the Sue Bigelow Shield, in displaying outstanding sportsmanship and encouragement throughout the day, highlighted by initiating and leading the guard of honour.
