Athletics carnival

An absolute highlight of the Inclusive Sports Program is the athletics carnival which took place on Friday, 8th September at UWA Sports Park. 

A wave of 260 athletes from 15 schools joined the Notre Dame University (NDU) College students and St Norbert College students who filled the 57 officials roles for the day. A guard of honour was formed to welcome the staff and students for their Celebration March.  

Students could participate, compete or 'have a go' in an array of track and field events across the day, including novelty events, teacher v student relay, and of course, a 'dance off'!  Congratulations to Ursula Frayne Catholic College who were awarded the Sue Bigelow Shield.

We were also very fortunate to have Danny Keavn (WAIS Coach) and Ella Pardy (Para Olympic Athlete) join us.  Ella shared her story with students, was interviewed by NDU and was the guest starter.
