AFL carnival

The AFL Carnival was back at Pat Goodridge this year, being held on Friday 9th June 2023.  The appetite continues to grow for this event.  This year, there were 8 teams from 7 schools, involving 120 students playing round robin fixtures of modified games of Australian Rules Football.

The event was in partnership with the West Australian All Abilities Football Association (WAAAFA) and the Stephen Michael Foundation who delivered a group warm up session, followed by their staff running skills sessions for social activity groups.  WAAAFA engaged with The Periscope Crew to capture skills and video content of the event, and WAAAFA have agreed to sponsor a perpetual shield and winner's trophy from this year onwards.

Congratulalions to the Christedes Challengers (combined team of Mercedes College and Christ Church) who won this year's tournament.
